Customer Review: Caution when buying things made by Zapf Creations

My daughter saved money for several months to buy a Baby Annabelle doll. She ordered a tea set to go with it. The tea set arrived with parts missing. We called Zapf Creation and ordered replacement parts, but after several phone calls, the parts never arrived. The dolls bottle broke and there is no way to order extra bottles here in the US. My daughter loves the doll, but has been very frustrated in dealing with this Zapf Creation.

Customer Review: Glad I didn't pay $100 for this doll.

The only thing on my daughter's wish list and by the end of Christmas day 2008, the doll stopped working. I thought the doll was really cute and the features were great when it worked and my daughter had already fallen in love with the doll. We changed the batteries three times in two days and finally the doll just stopped working altogether. I exchanged the doll and got the same results. I even brought rechargeable batteries too. I didn't want to give up on the doll because my daughter really like her newborn baby as she called it, so I replaced doll #2 with doll #3 and the results were still the same. Within one week after Christmas, 12 batteries and three dolls later, none of them worked properly. They all started off working fine and then nothing. And I NEVER seen tears come from any of the 3 dolls!!! (Makes you wonder what all of that water will be like stuck in the dolls head after a week or so). The one thing I am glad about is that I didn't pay 100 bucks for the thing. We got ours from Toys are Us for $49.99. I did call the Manufacturer, Zapf Creations and they were very helpful and generous. Since our doll was a Toys R Us exclusive, they couldn't replace the same exact doll but was willing to replace the doll with another of their interactive dolls. I never cared about the money as much as the disappointment from my little girl. She still plays with Anabelle aka Jessie but not as much.

Customer Review: a bad construction method

Im from holland and bought this item .

The mdf is good painted and the colours are really beautiful.

But the construction is real bad you got to put wooden pins in it with a little wood glue, the holes for the pins are to big .

After a day of letting the glue dry the changing table wasn`t stabil.

I am verry disapointed
